Man am I excited to post this wedding! I teamed up again with the incomparable Sandy from Red Lotus Photography, and the two of us had an absolute blast photographing this wedding. The bride and groom were totally up for all of our crazy ideas and requests too. I love when the couple has as much fun as I do during photos, though it totally makes me want to keep going and get a hundred more :) Their ceremony was at the St. Fidelis Parish in Butler followed by a fun reception at Butler Country Club.

Butler Country Club was a fantastic location for a wedding reception. There are great little areas all over the place that are great for photographs, even if it means almost getting hit by flying golf balls a couple times :)

The bridal party’s excitement and enthusiasm during the bride & groom’s entrance was great.
So apparently the layer of cake the groom was trying to cut here was actually styrofoam, and it took a few moments to figure out why he couldn’t cut the cake!
The maid of honor and best man gave heartfelt and hilarious toasts.
I love sneaking the bride and groom outside at the end of the night for a few last romantic shots. It’s hard to believe these two aren’t models; they totally nailed everything we asked them to do.
One of the many reasons I love working with Sandy is we’re both complete photo geeks and feed off of each other’s enthusiasm for creating cool and unique photos. The conversation right before this next shot went something like this… Me: “Wanna throw a light behind them and try that?” Sandy: “Yes! How about we put it behind that tree over there and light the whole thing up!?” Me: “Umm…YES!” I think it turned out pretty good :)
