I’ve been looking forward to Summer & Paul’s wedding for so long, I love photographing weddings at venues I haven’t been to yet, and the Embassy Suites Downtown Pittsburgh looked like such a beautiful location. It was! They have a really cool old bank vault in the lobby that is great for unique photos. We weren’t sure if the weather was going to cooperate that day, but luckily the storm passed quickly and the clouds opened up long enough for their outdoor ceremony at Mellon Square between the Embassy Suites and Omni William Penn Hotel. Here’s their story:
It was a storybook beginning that you read about in fairy tales. It was love at first sight…perhaps, that is not quite true. It was more like love at first awkward conversation as we met as weary travelers on the train home after a long hard day of work. In meeting, it did not take long for us to realize that we lived two buildings apart and had the same landlord, for which Paul worked for.
Summer recommended sushi for our first date, which immediately made Paul uncomfortable. Grudgingly agreeing and not wanting to say no, Paul went on the date and realized quickly he had made one of the best decisions of his life. Summer and Paul instantly connected and began to develop a love.
After only about a year of dating, we were engaged at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in downtown Pittsburgh. The magical night commenced with a vacation a few days later in Mexico to continue the celebration.
Since, we have visited Toronto, Jamaica, and Los Angeles as we share in our love of travel. We also enjoy spending time with our families and going out to eat in Mt. Lebanon. We are most happy when we spend time at our home with our pampered pooch, Bella. It was a storybook beginning that you read about in fairy tales.
