I keep seeing photographers saying that November is the new October, and they’re totally right! The leaves are changing later, the weather is staying warmer longer, and fall seems to be arriving later and later each year. The leaves were at their peak for Amanda and Adam’s wedding and I’m so happy! They were married at St. Teresa of Avila then danced their butts off at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. We swung by North Park for some beautiful fall portraits. Here is their story:
On May 10, 2016, Adam was getting a few friends together at the Primanti Brothers restaurant in Harmarville, PA to watch the Penguins take on the Capitals in a playoff game. Adam happened to get Nick and Garrett interested in going. Adam brought Nick, and Garrett was getting a ride from a teammate on his softball team after their game. Adam was aware that Garrett’s team was co-ed, but little did he know that he would meet the love of his life as he walked into the restaurant! Unbeknownst to Adam, Amanda had asked Garrett if anyone he was meeting up with was single. Adam and Amanda were officially introduced by Garrett at the hostess’ table, and continued their conversation to where they were seated. Amanda stuck around for the whole game, as both had a keen interest in the game and each other. Amanda then joined Adam and Jon (his roommate) a few days later at the same place to watch the next Pens game, and then went on their first date to Las Velas in Market Square the following night.
The engagement took place on September 18, 2017 while Amanda and Adam were on vacation to the Chesapeake Bay area in Virginia. On their first day sightseeing, they discovered a nature reserve on the bay called Hughlett Point, which included a wooded area that came out to a beach. The next day, Amanda and Adam went to about 4 wineries in the area for tastings, and ended at a winery about 1 mile from Hughlett Point. Adam suggested that they go back there. When they got to the beach, Adam got on 1 knee and proposed. The answer, of course, was YES! There was one other person there who was able to get pictures right after.
Our wedding and leading up has been and will be unique because our sisters are able to exhibit their talents. From a creative and musical perspective, we feel that we’ve had the utmost support from our families, they have and will enhance our wedding to levels that we haven’t imagined.
