Madison + Robert | Longue Vue Club Wedding Photos

Ahhh, I’m so excited to share Madison and Robert’s wedding! Some weddings you really look forward to, and this was certainly one of them. Madison and Robert live in Nashville but are originally from the Pittsburgh area and wanted to have their wedding here. After seeing the Longue Vue Club they fell in love with it and had to have their wedding there. You never know what kind of weather you’re going to have in Pittsburgh, but these two weren’t taking any chances. They buried a full bottle of bourbon upside down at Longue Vue a month before the wedding, which according to southern tradition, makes sure there’s no rain on their wedding day. It worked! There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and it was a gorgeous fall day. They started the day at the Omni William Penn Hotel, then walked over to the Trinity Cathedral church for their ceremony. Afterwards we headed to Longue Vue Club for photos and the reception. From Madison:

We met at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA while we were both working as tour guides in our school’s office of admissions!

Rob proposed on a cruise we took together and I had NO idea it was coming.

The wedding inspiration was Pittsburgh in the fall. We chose the venue and the time of year because we both love all the changing leaves and the beautiful Pittsburgh fall weather. 

What will make the wedding unique is the “southern twist” incorporated throughout the day. We live in Nashville now, so it was important for us to highlight different aspects of the place where we live. Keep your eyes peeled for Hot Chicken and Waffle bites at the cocktail hour, Tennessee beer, and a bottle of Tennessee Whiskey that we buried last month, and we’ll be digging it up with our bridal party at Longue Vue on the day of the wedding!
