Sarah + Jeff | Longue Vue Club Wedding Photos

I’ve been looking forward to Sarah & Jeff’s wedding ever since I met them last year, and especially after their beautiful fall engagement session at Seven Springs. Longue Vue Club is one of my absolute favorite wedding venues in Pittsburgh so I knew it would be a great day. They were married at Ruthfred Lutheran Church in Bethel Park, then we headed to Longue Vue Club for their photos and reception. Here is their story…

Sarah and I originally met in 3rd grade. Neither of us actually remember this, but we have the class picture to prove it. We grew up in different friend groups, however, our paths crossed many times throughout our childhood. I was best friends with many of Sarah’s neighbors and would often come over to partake in the neighborhood night games. Little did I know, I was actually playing with my future wife. In high school we became much better friends, but a romantic relationship never developed. After a year of college, we grew closer once again and started dating. We dated all through the rest of college and while Sarah was in law school.

Five years later, I finally built up the courage to propose. We planned a trip to California to visit wine country and Rachael and Adam (Sarah’s newlywed cousin and husband). I came to the conclusion that San Francisco was the perfect spot and the Golden Gate Bridge would be the perfect backdrop. All I had to do was find a ring and we would be set. Sarah was a little suspicious of the trip to California being a potential engagement trip so I had to trick her to get her “off the scent”. After we did some ring shopping and I decided on the right one, I continued to show her potential options and take her to different stores. I even showed her various ring styles to see if she would like them while sitting in the airport to head to California. Meanwhile, the ring was already in my backpack next to me, which I was hanging onto for dear life. To say the least it could have not gone more smoothly. We went to an overlook of the the Golden Gate Bridge where I proposed. As I was proposing, a rainbow appeared in the background and I knew it was a sign. She said yes and we had a celebratory few days in wine country.

Sarah and I have enjoyed the experience of planning a wedding and cannot wait to start our lives together. We were able to find a perfect venue at Longue Vue Club. The grounds are beautiful, the historic landmark clubhouse is gorgeous, and ballroom is perfect for a party of a lifetime.
