Ooooh man am I excited to share this wedding! Jennifer and Josh were married on a cool, crisp September day, which was also the first day of Fall and the perfect way to kick off the season. They began the day at the Embassy Suites in downtown Pittsburgh for prep, then head to Mellon Green for their first look. After some photos in our beautiful city we stopped back at the hotel for a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Their ceremony was at the West End Overlook under a gorgeous floral arch with the amazing city views in the background. They followed all this up with a reception at the Monterey Bay Fish Grotto. Oh, and we happened to catch the most ridiculous sunset, the sky was on fire! From the bride:

We were going to visit my family on Cape Cod, a vacation that I planned, so the proposal was definitely a surprise! When we landed in Boston he took me on a Gondola ride on the Charles River during sunset. He created a book called “Story of Love” with pictures detailing our life together from the day we met. At the very end of the book, he wrote, “I love you more than words and pictures could ever express. I’ve one simple question and I hope the answer is yes….will you marry me?” When I looked up he had the ring box in hand. 

We wanted to do something simple yet beautiful so we decided to have our ceremony at the West End Elliot Overlook park. We love that it combines the breathtaking view of downtown Pittsburgh with the lush greenery and serenity of a park. To carry the backdrop of the city from the ceremony into our reception, we decided to have it at the Monterey Bay Fish Grotto. The only thing better than their floor to ceiling views is their food and we’re both big foodies!
